We strive to provide various "Ideas Forum" for intellectual discourse more typically found in university atheneums. We seek to reach out to and secure high profile speakers and work with them to shape a compelling, profound discussion: what they're hoping to do in this world through their passion at work. Our point is to choose a particular issue, get some of the best thinking available and improve the understanding on it.
"Our objective is to provide education to the general community of South Orange County, focused on but not limited to Laguna Beach," said Doug Wilson, who started the foundation three years ago with fellow board members Bill Price and Joel Kurtzman. We underwrite the costs of our free workshops, paying honorariums for the facilitators - thoughtful, well-read scholars who stimulate discussions and keep the talk objective.
